Hanan Hemdan Story

Hanan Hemdan is 53 years old; She is married and has 5 children, 3 are in primary school, while her daughter is engaged to be married. Hanan lives in Manshiet Nasser area in Cairo.

Hanan helps her husband in the daily expenses as he is a daily worker and also to cover some of her personal costs and have a revenue stream which she can use to help her daughter get married.

Hanan works in sorting garbage which is then delivered to factories in the area. It’s a job that is male dominated and difficult for women due to the physical needs and the dealing with many suppliers.

Hanan reached out to Naslink after hearing about us from a neighbor. She wants more capital to buy more material for sorting.
