Mona Khalaf Story

Mona Khalaf is 27 years old. She is married with 2 children in primary school in Manshiet Nasser. She has been working as a garbage sorter and trader for 4 years. Her husband is a casual worker, but the income is not covering the family expenses. She started this business to support her family with the additional needs that are increasing due to the inflation and life demands of these times.  

She is a rare example of having women working in this difficult field because it has a lot of external treatment with collectors, wholesale and factory representatives. She buys the garbage from collectors then does the sorting and segregation then she sells it with a profit to factories in the area that do recycling.    

Mona received the first loan and repaid it completely; this is her second loan which she wants to be able to buy more quantities at better prices.
