Wagiha Lotfy Story

Wagiha is 40 years old, from Ezbet Khairallah area near Cairo. Wagiha is married and a mother of two children in primary school. Her husband owns a tricycle that he uses to transport goods.

Wagiha resorted to trading after her husband was in an accident and could not drive the tricycle anymore. Wagiha noticed that there were no salt suppliers in her area after hearing that it was a common activity. She started the project of distributing salt on her husbands’ tricycle which her son drives. She gets the large raw material from Fayoum and Sharkeya area out of Cairo. Out of season, she trades in clothes. She started a clothes trading business as she buys from traders (stocks) and sells to individuals.  

Her business started small but now she has more opportunities. Wagiha contacted Naslink as she wanted a loan to expand his work by adding more merchandise and raw materials that she can buy from traders.
