Meliha Mahmoud Story

Meliha Mahmoud is 54 years old; She is a widow and has two daughters and one son. One of her daughters is married and the other is engaged. She lives basateen area in Cairo. 

Meliha has been working at an NGO for many years. She is a true believer of the quality of education and has been working at it all her life. A few years ago, Meliha decided to empty a room in her house and give educational lessons to children who need further support. She charges very modest fees for the group lessons. 

Additionally, Meliha brings in some specialists from her contacts to teach the children about other aspects of life and if there are topics that she cannot cover. She believes that education will change these children’s lives.  

Meliha reached out to Naslink as she needed to buy educational materials for her and the specialists she brings, which she can use at the education room.

We met Meliha and checked her story and job.  She receives a pension from her husband’s passing and has a steady income. She will be able to repay the loan without affecting her livelihood as she has more than one income source.

• An admin fee of 4.5% will be deducted from the repayment installments for verification and operational expenses. 

• An optional 5% of support amount may be given by the supporter to the borrower at the repayment of the last installment as an incentive for full repayment.
